Marty comes to us from the Minnesota State Horticulture Society. She is a frequent speaker at local and regional conferences on topics related to gardening with care for the environment and providing fresh food for all.

About the Event
Marty is a lifelong gardener, a Master Gardener Emeritus Retired, and has developed numerous classes. She assisted the Minnesota State Horticultural Society in developing programs and has written several publications in the past. Current work includes greenhouse growing in the spring and year-round employment with a local farm where she makes beeswax candles and other honey related items.

Want to learn how to preserve fruits, veggies, and herbs in easy affordable ways? Using produce from your own gardens or items purchased, ther are numerous options, combinations, and recipies to select from. Join us to review and learn how to store, freeze, dry, and preserve in economical and enjoyable ways. Bring a list of foods you wish to save and use over the winter or year round! Examples of many methods will be presented.
