About the Event

Please join us at our Zoom meeting as we start out 2021 with speaker Becky Swenson of Swenson Gardens.  Becky will be talking about and showing us all the beautiful varieties of Peonies that are available at Swensons.  She will also be talking about proper planting and care.  As part of our summer tour schedule, we will be touring Swenson Gardens in June of this year.

Becky Swenson, along with her husband Keith own Swenson Gardens, a peony farm located in

Howard Lake, Minnesota. Swenson Gardens is considered the world’s largest chemical-free

peony farm and hybridizer of new peony varieties. They ship thousands of bare-roots every fall

to gardeners across the US and internationally. Over 15,000 plants in thousands of different

varieties fill their fields, and world-class colors and no-staking varieties are their specialty.

Swensons have been featured in numerous local and national publications, including the Wall

Street Journal. They were named the 2019 Wright County Farm Family of the Year and in 2020

Becky was recognized as one of the Top 5 Women Farmers by FarmFest Minnesota. When she

is not working outside, she enjoys photography, hiking, and discovering really great coffee

Following our speaker there will be our monthly buisness meeting which will include our Annual Budget discussion.   Please plan on attending.
