Plant and Garden Extras Sale
Our Plant and Garden Extras Sale is coming soon!
Our annual Plant and Garden Extras Sale is our main fundraiser for the club. It is held each spring and is highly anticipated among club members and the community as it’s a sure sign of Spring!
Not only is the Plant and Extras Sale a fundraiser for the club but it also a great way for LAGC members to connect with the community! We encourage shoppers to ask lots of questions, seek out plant recommmendations, get planting tips, ask for help problem solving any gardening difficulties you may have, etc. LAGC Members are there to help in EVERY way!
Attending the sale is also an opportunity to learn more about the club, and if interested, to become a member.

About the Sale
The variety of PLANTS changes from year to year, but typically includes many popular perennials -- daylilies, hostas, peonies, sedum, a variety of ground covers, ferns, bleeding hearts, astilbe, heuchera, as well as bulbs such as calla lilies, canna lilies, Asian and Tiger lilies, and iris.
***All plants are dug and divided from our members’ gardens and other gardens. To do our utmost to prevent the spread of jumping worms, we carefully follow the University of Minnesota Extension's guidelines for washing and transplanting all plants into sterile containers using purchased potting soil.
We will also have a variety of annual flowers, vegetables, and herbs started by members from seed and also indoor plants that members propagated!
A variety of "Garden Extras" will also be for sale. These items vary from year to year, but typically include gardening tools, pots, lawn decoration items, gardening books, and all other varieties of items members find they have "extra" when they complete their spring garden shed clean-up!
The prices of the Plants and Garden Extras typically range from $1 to $10.
Cash, check, debit, or credit cards are accepted.
With the Plant Sale success over the years, it has become a large undertaking. Volunteers from the club have been instrumental in its success. From providing plants, donating extras, creating garden crafts setting up tables, helping customers, to the final takedown after the event. Thank you volunteers!!!
