About the Event
About our Presentator:
Diane McGann is an avid gardener with a love of landscape design. She has both studied and taught the subject and served as the design columnist for Northern Gardener magazine. An award-winning garden writer, Master Gardener, Tree Care Advisor, and member of the Ask Extension (formerly Ask an Expert) panel, her photographs have appeared in magazines and on the cover of Northern Gardener. A member of the Washington County Horticulture Society and GardenComm, the international garden writers’ organization, Diane applies her love of gardening to her Stillwater acreage.
Here is a description of the presentation:
It’s always helpful to have a set of “design rules” in our back pockets when planning our gardens. This presentation talks about several reliable but innovative landscape design rules. Some are borrowed from building architecture, while others list a set of lessons learned by the presenter in planning her own gardens. All ideas are illustrated by photographs showing mostly local, but also national and international gardens.
