Martin Stern of Squire House Gardens (our club stopped here on our 2017 Spring Garden Center Tour) will present on how to create an outdoor area that invites you to linger and spend time, creates harmony in your garden and area of your garden that are rooms of their own.

About the Event
The April Meeting of the LAGC will start at 7:00 pm with speaker Martin Stern, the owner of Squire House Gardens, Afton, MN. We toured Squire House Gardens in 2017 as part of our May Garden Center Tour. Martin will be talking on "Creating Outdoor Space in Your Garden."
Martin has nurtured a life-long interest in nature and gardening. Including living in southern England in 1987 where he studied with world -reknowned garden designer and writer John Brookes.
Since that time Martin has designed gardens big and small throughout the upper midwest and northeast. He seeks simplicity and intention, architectural interest and diverse multi-seasonal planting schemes in his work. Each garden has a separate and distinct personality. The gardens at Squire illustrate his design philosophy.
There will be refreshments at 8:00 and our business meeting will be from 8:15 until 9:00.
