About the Event
Debbie Lonnee has a degree in Horticulture from the U of M and has worked for 28 years at Bailey's Nursery with perennials, bedding plants, roses, and woody plants. She currently serves as Product Develop Manager, bringing new breeds to the Bailey's brand. Garden writing is her second job; she is the horticultural editor for the Northern Gardener magazine and also writes the 'Plant to Pick' article for each edition. She is an avid gardener and considers herself a "plant geek!"
Hydrangea breeding has exploded in the last ten years and the Hydrangea is currently the most popular shrub in the US. Which species and cultivars work best for your Minnesota gardens? Debbie will dive into the tried and true as well as highlight some of the newest cultivars for your gardens.
Debbie has moved from Minnesota so will be presenting to us on Zoom. We will still meet on site for fellowship and a chance to learn and ask questions together!
***All members and any guests who RSVP will receive a link to our Zoom meeting one week prior to Debbie's presentation.
