Linda Stein, a Dakota County Master Gardener, will present to us via Zoom.  We encourage all members to meet and learn together person. It is important to have you there for the   presentation of the 2023 budget too! We will send the Zoom link to all members in case you can not physically attend

Linda wrote: Creating a garden on a deck or patio provides a wonderful opportunity to add beauty to a home and/or offer edible plants near a kitchen.  It can also enable persons with physical limitations to garden.  Just as you need to consider the environment around an in-ground garden, so too do you need to determine what plants to place on your deck based on environmental factors that will impact those plants.

This presentation will discuss what to consider as you plan your deck garden from the location of the deck to the types of containers and soil to the types  of plants that have the best potential to successfully grow at your site.
