Tour 1: 6:00-7:00
We are excited that Joy S offered to share her gardens with us! Joy has lived in Lakeville for the past 30 yeas and her gardens have grown and multiplied over the years. As their trees matured, they moved from gardening vegetables to flower gardens. In 1999, she added a beautiful waterfall. Both Joy and her husband jointly share a love of gardening.
Tour 2: 7:30-8:30/9:00
Marie and Marty, owners of the Lavender Barnyard started with the simple idea of trying to figure out how to earn a living from their few acres. They planted lavender, not knowing if it would survive the Minnesota winters. Not only did it survive, but they are now harvesting 1000's of stems each year! We will begin with a tour and lesson on harvesting lavendar, followed by the opportunity to pick lavendar! Lavendar products will be available to purchase.
**Guests can RSVP to be placed on a waitlist to attend if the tour is not filled. Guests will be asked to pay $10 to cover the costs at the Lavender Barnyard. A member of the Programs Committee will collect Guest fees at the beginning of the tour.
