About the Event
Due to ongoing Covid concerns, our October meeting will be online and we utilize the Zoom app as we did for the September Presentation. A week before the event all members will get emailed the Zoom meeting invite. Thank you for your patience during this time of uncertainty. Although we would love to get together face to face and we miss each and every one of you. At this time, Club leadership believes we do need to keep our social distancing and a Zoom meeting will allow us to continue to enjoy our speakers and interact with one another safely.
Tools are made to help us with our work in the garden. Quality garden tools, properly maintained, make gardening jobs easier and can become family heirlooms passed down through generations. Like gardeners, our tools appreciate a little TLC so that they can operate at peak performance. Join Dakota County Master Gardener, Lisa Jansa, as she shares information on maintaining and caring for your favorite garden tools. In her class, Lisa will talk about different gardening implements, their specific uses and the benefits of maintaining them for maximum performance in your garden. You will leave with specific tips on how to clean, sharpen and store your tools to enjoy them and pass them on to the next generation of gardeners, for years to come.
Lisa Jansa is an avid gardener and, along with her husband, maintains her extensive perennial garden at their home in Burnsville, MN. After decades spent working as a healthcare entrepreneur, Lisa now spends much of her time outdoors creating nature adventures with her children and grandchildren. Wishing to pursue her passions and share her knowledge with others, Lisa joined Dakota County Master Gardeners as an intern in 2019. During summer months, you might also find her at Gertens offering help and advice on perennials to customers.
